Totum Partners is a recruitment consultancy firm that specialises in the legal sector, ensuring that every role they advise on is specifically tailored to the legal market and the unique culture of that particular law firm.
Totum Partners was referred to Pinnacle by their IT company. They wanted to:
- Retain existing features and products such as click-to-dial and headsets
- Present DDI telephone numbers when making outgoing calls
- Keep existing telephone numbers
Pinnacle upgraded Totum Partners to an Avaya IP Office IP500 V2 telephone system. The IP500 V2 retained the products and features the company liked, such as headsets and click-to-dial (which allows employees to call a telephone number through their PC screen), while it also provided them with the additional features of the One X Portal, a web browser-based solution enabling instant messaging and conferencing facilities. The upgrade has therefore allowed them to add to what they already have.
In order to present DDI numbers while retaining existing telephone numbers when making outgoing calls, Pinnacle set up a combination of SIP trunks and ISDN lines. The combination of SIP trunks and ISDN lines has resulted in a more reliable telephone system – should the ISDN lines go down for instance, calls can be redirected via SIP trunks.
